David W. Davies
Founder, Mentor, and the Steady Hand That Shaped Our Team
For more than half a century, David W. Davies devoted himself to guiding clients, shaping professionals, and building a standard of service that still defines our team today. As the founder of our group—and now retired—Dave’s legacy is woven into every relationship, every process, and every value we uphold. His 50+ years of service stand as a testament to his unwavering commitment to clients and community alike, and we remain deeply grateful for the foundation he built.
A Career Built on Experience and Leadership
Dave began his investment career more than five decades ago, quickly distinguishing himself through his disciplined approach and genuine care for the families he served. For most of those years, he led as Branch Director, mentoring colleagues and cultivating a culture marked by integrity, professionalism, and steady guidance.
Throughout his career, Dave held a range of securities licenses—including the Series 7, 8, 63, and 65—and maintained registrations across numerous states. Earlier in his tenure, he was also a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Buffalo. For nearly twenty years, he shared his market insights with the community through a weekly investment column in The Leader, Corning’s local newspaper.
A Legacy Beyond Finance
Dave’s passions extended far beyond the investment world. A lifelong motorsports enthusiast, he spent 16 years as treasurer of the International Motor Racing Research Center in Watkins Glen and devoted over 50 years to the Glen Region Sports Car Club of America. His leadership roles and numerous regional and national recognitions reflect the same dedication he brought to his professional life.
His service to the broader community was equally profound—supporting organizations such as the Painted Post Board of Trade, Corning Community College Foundation Board, Steuben ARC, and the Painted Post Lions Club. He was honored as an inaugural inductee into Corning Community College’s Red Baron Society for his exceptional commitment to the college.
A Life Built on Family and Community
Today, Dave enjoys retirement between the greater Corning area and Indialantic, Florida, alongside his wife, Connie. They are proud parents of two daughters and grandparents to seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren—an ever-growing family that reflects the same values of loyalty, hard work, and connection that Dave instilled in our team.
Our Ongoing Gratitude
As we look to the future, we stand on the strong foundation Dave created. His leadership—spanning more than 50 years—continues to inspire our work, our relationships, and our shared commitment to serving clients with care and clarity.
We remain profoundly grateful for his dedication, vision, and the legacy he leaves behind.
